Coca-Cola Bepensa - The Cost of Stopping

Training on live machinery means production stops, costs multiply, and people get hurt. Coca-Cola Bepensa in Mexico needed to transform technical and safety training across maintenance and operations - without shutting down the plant.

Using our no-code platform, Coca-Cola built a self-serving digital ecosystem where complex workflows and high-risk hazard mitigation could be mastered in a repeatable, interactive virtual environment. Static manuals were replaced with 360° simulations of live warehouse environments. Staff practised complex maintenance routines on virtual digital twins of heavy machinery - with real-time scoring and assessment built directly into the experience.

The AA - The Safety Paradox

You can't put a trainee on a live motorway to practise dodging traffic. But motorway response is the most high-risk, high-consequence decision 2,500+ mobile mechanics will make. We created immersive 360° scenarios from real motorway footage - when to stop traffic, when to move the vehicle, how to manage roadside safety - in realistic conditions, without the risk.

Both the ARuVR team and The AA's own L&D team built training programmes using our no-code platform, reducing the total number of required e-learning modules while delivering more impactful, high-retention immersive experiences.

What attracted me most was that we were in charge and could develop our own content as simply as using any other rapid digital authoring tool - there's no coding involved, it's WYSIWYG and it's really straightforward.

LNER - The Asset Trap

Driver training requires a train. But that train should be carrying passengers. LNER faced soaring training costs due to limited availability of physical simulators and rolling stock - assets in constant operational use. Certain maintenance equipment is extremely expensive and difficult to access.

Using the ARuVR platform, LNER deployed a virtual replica of rolling stock and cab environments across desktops, mobile devices and VR headsets - a truly blended approach to driver and maintenance staff training. All assessment data is automatically captured and stored on LNER's internal Learning Management System for regulatory evaluation.

FirstGroup (Lumo) - The Route Learning Problem

The traditional route learning process demands 200–300 hours of live train time for apprentice drivers to memorise 330 miles of track. Costly hotel and travel expenses. Inconsistent instructor styles. Hours spent on low-risk track just to access short segments of high-complexity track.

High-definition 180° cab-view videos were captured and hosted on the ARuVR cloud platform. High-risk areas - like complex station entries - were condensed into short, repeatable modules. Professional driving instructors provided audio call-outs for signals, speed restrictions and landmarks. Training was deployed to VR headsets in depots and onto drivers' enterprise tablets and phones for revision anywhere.

The ability to watch a key section again and again - being able to go out of Kings Cross five or six times in a row - is something they found really useful in the route learning process.

7 Steel UK - The Lethal Floor

Steel manufacturing where training mistakes are fatal. The traditional "buddy system" required pairing a novice with an experienced operator for months - the trainer distracted from production, the trainee non-productive, and poor early engagement leading to high churn.

ARuVR implemented a virtual-first training protocol. New hires are introduced to Double Benders, Gantry Cranes and Shear lines via high-fidelity simulations before they ever step onto the live floor. Trainees master equipment controls and hazard recognition in a risk-free setting, and experienced operators remain focused on production while novices train independently.

BAE Systems - Mission-Critical Decisions

Complex engineering and defence operations - submarines, airframes - where training environments must meet the highest standards of security and operational safety. BAE Systems requires a secure, high-fidelity platform to track learner stress levels and decision-making speed during mission-critical tasks.

ARuVR provides apprenticeship training programmes for airframes and marine environments in an ISO 27001-certified environment, maintaining defence-grade security while strengthening the decisions that matter most under pressure.

TechnipFMC - The Offshore Challenge

23,000+ employees across offshore vessels and remote sites where connectivity is poor or non-existent. Training personnel who rotate on multi-week offshore schedules, work in confined spaces and operate safety-critical subsea equipment - all in locations where a reliable internet connection is a luxury.

Enterprise-wide deployment with advanced content caching for fully offline access. Content scales from 10 to 10,000+ simultaneous users on serverless AWS infrastructure. No-code authoring means TechnipFMC's own teams can build and maintain training content - from VR headsets on vessels to tablets on rigs to desktop browsers in offices.

ACSA - The Tarmac Paradox

Airport ground operations at South Africa's major airports create a unique tension - tarmac distractions, heavy machinery, aircraft movement, and high-consequence safety decisions. You cannot expose trainees to a live airside environment to practise hazard recognition under pressure.

ISO 31000-aligned immersive scenarios replicate realistic airside conditions across all seven risk management domains - from risk identification to monitoring and review. The programme includes both 360° filmed scenarios and interactive 3D environments for cargo handling and confined space entry, with ACSA staff trained to create and maintain content in-house.

Manufacturing Technology Centre - Industry 4.0 Training

The MTC's Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre needed to digitise industry-leading courses - milling, turning, laser processing, powder management - without losing the hands-on quality that makes them valuable. Physical access restrictions and the cost of multi-million-pound equipment made scaling impossible through traditional methods.

ARuVR converted instructor-led sessions into immersive modules where engineers interact with digital twins of advanced machinery in real-time, mastering Industry 4.0 technologies without the cost or safety risks of operating the physical equipment.
